12-30-2010
As 2010 draws to a close, I would like to to thank all of those who have allowed us to be a part of your once in a lifetime celebration. From birthdays to weddings, it has been an honor to participate in your special day!
At Custom Cakes and Sugar Seminars new things are on the horizon. The uber talented Ashlee Perkins has joined Custom Cakes as lead designer. Ashlee is known world wide for her 3-d cake sculptures. We are excited to be able to offer her fresh, young style of cake design to our celebration and wedding clients as well. She will also be joining us as a Sugar Seminars instructor.
2011 will bring a new look to the shop so please bear with us as we remodel! Our website is being remodeled as well and we can't wait to show off our new look!
For those of you joining us for a Sugar Seminar or two, our classroom is under construction and we look forward to offering you the best sugar education in a comfortable setting. We are exicited to have Ron Ben-Israel, confectionary trendsetter , the master of sugar flowers, and owner of Ron Ben-Israel Cakes return for his third consecutive year. He will be teaching his signature flower class as well as an all orchid class. Jacqueline Butler of Petalsweet returns to Sugar Seminars in 2011 with her sugar flower topper class and a new Introduction to sugar paste class! Jacqueline will be teaching internationally this year and we are delighted she has chosen Custom Cakes/Sugar Seminars as her first classroom for 2011.
In the new year, the curriculum will be expanding. In addition to advanced studies, Sugar Seminars will be offering some new and exciting classes for beginners including Basics, baking and frosting, plus "Fundamentals of Cake Design." Be sure and check out the pages section on the right hand side of the blog...we would love for you to join us!
Happy new year! May 2011 be the best ever!
