Everything you wanted to know about wedding cakes and then some...and yes you will be making a real 3 tier cake, not decorating styrofoam. We will touch on everything from contracts and pricing to construction, talk a little physics (sorry but we have to because proper stacking techniques are very important), and also wedding cake design trends. This is a soup to nut class and will take you from start to finish.
We will also make sugar flowers, hydranges, roses, filler flowers, and buds, to decorate our cake. Here is a picture of our class project:
Students will leave with a wedding cake manual and the forms we use for our wedding cake orders. I am excited to share with you the things I've learned in the 15 + years of making wedding cakes.
Dates: July 27 -30, 2012. Cost is $997 and all supplies needed for class will be supplied plus lunch...just bring yourself.
